Meeting Check-In
Learn how Recomeet verifies in-person meeting attendance, how the check-in timer works, and what you need to do to successfully complete a meeting check-in.
How Check-In Works
Eligible in-person recovery meetings can use location-based check-in. Recomeet verifies that you are physically near the meeting location and remain within the allowed meeting radius for the required amount of time.
Allow Location Access
Recomeet needs access to your device location to verify that you are close enough to the meeting location.
Allow location access when your browser asks for permission.
Make sure Location Services are enabled on your phone or computer.
For the best results, use your device at the actual meeting location.
β οΈ Location permission is required
If location access is blocked, Recomeet cannot verify your distance from the meeting and the check-in may not be available.
Make Sure the Meeting Is Eligible
Not every meeting supports check-in. A meeting must have check-in enabled and include a verified physical location.
Check-In Enabled
The meeting must support location-based check-in.
Physical Location
The meeting needs valid latitude and longitude information.
Correct Time
Check-in is only available during the allowed meeting window.
Signed In
You must be logged into your Recomeet account.
Start Your Check-In
When the meeting is available for check-in, open the meeting or check-in area and start your check-in.
π‘ Recomeet starts verifying your location
After the check-in starts, your device periodically sends updated location information so Recomeet can confirm that you remain within the meeting radius.
Stay Inside the Meeting Radius
Each check-in location has an allowed radius around the meeting. Your device must remain close enough to the meeting location for your attendance time to count.
Inside the Radius
Your verified attendance time continues to count toward completing the check-in.
Outside the Radius
Your verified attendance timer pauses until your device is detected inside the allowed meeting radius again.
Let the Check-In Timer Run
Each meeting can require a different amount of verified attendance time. The timer shows how much time remains before your check-in can be completed.
The timer counts verified time
Time counts while Recomeet confirms that your device is inside the meeting radius.
Leaving the radius pauses progress
Your timer does not continue accumulating verified attendance while you are outside the allowed area.
Returning resumes progress
Once Recomeet verifies that you are back inside the meeting radius, verified attendance can continue accumulating.
Complete the Check-In
Once you have accumulated the required amount of verified attendance time, Recomeet can complete the check-in.
β Successful Check-In
A completed check-in is saved to your Recomeet account and can be used by other features that track meeting attendance and recovery progress.
Earn Check-In Points
Some meetings award points after a successful verified check-in. The number of points can vary depending on the meeting.
Points Reward
Eligible meetings can award a set number of points when the check-in is completed.
Progress Tracking
Completed meeting attendance may also contribute to other progress features within Recomeet.
Understand Check-In Cooldowns
After completing a check-in, the meeting may have a cooldown period before another check-in can be started.
β³ Why cooldowns exist
Cooldowns help prevent duplicate attendance rewards for the same meeting within a short period of time.
Keep Recomeet Available During Check-In
For the most reliable check-in experience, keep your browser available and avoid disabling location access while the check-in is active.

Points & Progress
Learn how points work, how they are earned, and where to view your progress within Recomeet.
What Are Recomeet Points?
Points are used to recognize eligible activity and progress within Recomeet. Some features, such as completed meeting check-ins, may award points to your account.
Earn Points
Points are awarded when you complete eligible activities. The exact reward can depend on the feature or meeting.
Verified Meeting Check-In
Eligible meetings can award points after a successful verified check-in.
Completed Activity
Points are only awarded when the required activity is successfully completed.
Point Rewards Can Vary
Different meetings or activities may award different amounts of points. When a meeting supports check-in, its available point reward may be shown with the meeting information.
π‘ Check the meeting card
Eligible check-in meetings may show the number of points available for completing that meeting's verification requirements.
View Your Point Total
Your current point total can appear in your Recomeet dashboard and other areas that display your account progress.
Dashboard
Use your dashboard for a quick view of account progress and your current point total.
Points Area
Open the points area when available to review information related to your accumulated points.
Points Are Added After Completion
Starting an activity does not necessarily mean the reward has been earned. For a meeting check-in, the attendance requirements must first be completed successfully.
Start the eligible activity.
Complete the required verification or progress.
Wait for Recomeet to confirm successful completion.
The eligible reward is then recorded to your account.
Duplicate Rewards and Cooldowns
Some activities use cooldown rules so the same activity cannot repeatedly generate rewards within a short period.
β³ Meeting Check-In Cooldown
If you recently completed a check-in at the same location, you may need to wait until the cooldown ends before another eligible check-in can begin.
Points and Recovery Goals Are Different
Points
Points are rewards associated with eligible activity completed through Recomeet.
Recovery Goals
Recovery Goals track whether your meeting attendance satisfies a particular recovery requirement.
